1937 Portrait photograph of rookie catcher from the St. Louis Cardinals Mickey Owen and taken by photographer Charles Conlon. He would become one of the best catchers in baseball pretty quickly and in 1941 he was traded to the Dodgers where he helped them to a pennant, and then cost them the World Series in tragic fashion. This is the only image of Mickey Owen by Conlon we have ever handled and it is a beautiful specimen!
