1937 Field level action photograph of Hall of Famer Mel Ott in a rare moment of failure, striking out with men on base against the Cubs in a crucial game near the end of the season with the pennant on the line. Despite not coming through on this day, Ott is one of the top sluggers in the history of the game and this is one of his better field-level action photographs we have handled. Issued by Acme and stamped on the back with a nice paper caption as well.
