Incredible 1936 photograph of Cleveland Indians rookie Bob Feller sitting on the edge of the dugout and looking across the field as if he was pondering his bright future in the game. The famous pitching arm of the teenage phenom is exposed and taking in some of the sun's rays, he is also holding his bat as if he was itching to get onto the field. Although not dates, the image is clear, bold, and completely original to the 1930's. The handwriting on the back looks like Louis Van Oeyen (Cleveland photographer) but more research is needed. One of the finest images of Feller we have ever handled! Photo has some light crazing from age but no other flaws and it looks fantastic.
