Stan Coveleski is a member of the baseball Hall of Fame primarily for his time with the Cleveland Indians, but he also had some great seasons with the Senators as well. What is often forgotten in his story is that he actually started his career for the Philadelphia Athletics FOUR YEARS before he became a star with the Indians way back in 1912. Before this photo was discovered, a photograph of Coveleski in uniform with the Athletics has never been offered before (from our memory) and this is a masterpiece from photographer Charles Conlon with his handwritten identification on the back! The condition and quality are both outstanding and this is an amazing pre-rookie card photo of one of the rarest Hall of Famers!
