Incredibly sad and thought provoking image pf perhaps the worst thing we have ever come across in a photo archive in all the millions of photographs we have ever seen. After beating a man to death (supposedly he admitted it) a black man was administered mob justice in Louisiana where he was lynched and shot multiple times. Issued by the International News and stamped on the back with a full paper caption, this is a terrible moment in history. NOTE: We realize this is a very graphic and racially insensitive photograph that is disturbing and upsetting. It is important to preserve history, no matter how ugly it is and we hope this image is used for educational purposes and to stress the importance of never forgetting that evil exists.
