Original 1937 photograph of famed aviator Amelia Earhart as she poses in California before her upcoming flight around the world, the one in which she would crash and die a few months after this image was taken. A rare original in perfect shape (10/10), this was issued by Acme and stamped on the back with handwritten notes that identify the others as her husband (George Putnam) as well as R.D. McKneely and Harry Manning who was a controversial figure in the Earhart disappearance as he decided not to go on the trip at the last minute. A crystal clear work of photographic art and one of the last images of Earhart ever taken. Offered here for the first time ever!
