As movies started to garner more and more money at the box office, the public appetite for bigger and better films demanded changes. In 1923 the United Artists undertook a huge million dollar budget to create an epic like never before. Starring Douglas Fairbanks, the "Thief of Baghdad" was going to be the greatest attraction of all time and if this aerial photograph of the set is any indication, it was quite a massive undertaking! This double weight photograph not only captures the set of the film, but also the entire UA lot as well with projects all around! An amazing rare piece of Hollywood history, this is the only known example of this image and despite some wear to the lower left corner, the image presents beautifully! A true piece of film art and with incredible detail.
