Eddie Mathews of the Milwaukee Braves was the greatest young slugger in the National League coming into the 1953 season. With Willie Mays in the military and Hank Aaron yet to arrive, he had the stage all to himself! The offered photograph captures Mathews in uniform from early in his career, head to toe and showing the batting form that took him all the way to the Hall of Fame!
