For brief periods of time, there is little doubt that two of the best pitchers of all time were Smoky Joe Wood of the Red Sox (around 1912) and Carl Hubbell of the Giants (around 1933). The title of the caption reads "Hubbell Chats with Old Timer" but in reality they were not that far off in age! A cool photograph in pretty nice shape, the photo was issued by the Associated Press and stamped on the back with a full paper caption.
