With a career .313 batting Average over 15 seasons you would think Jack Fournier would be a household name and a Hall of Famer, and maybe he would be if he had played for the Yankees! As it is, he is one of the most underappreciated stars of the deadball era. He put together impressive season batting averages of .350, .343, .351, .343, and .350 between 1918-1924 and was easily among the most feared hitters of his time. Pictured here with the Brooklyn Dodgers and slamming one of his National League leading 26 home runs (at the time), this is a high grade image from the International News and offered here for the first time ever.
