Beautiful 1917 posed photograph in uniform of manager Clarence "Pants" Rowland from the world champion Chicago White Sox. Two years before the team famously laid down and fixed the World Series of 1919, this team led by Rowland gave it their all and won the prize. An impressive photograph by Paul Thompson and with a couple creases on the left side, this is crystal clear and one of his best images ever offered.
