Lot Description  

Original 1926 portrait photo of Hall of Famer Grover Cleveland Alexander in full uniform for the St. Louis Cardinals on the verge of his greatest moment in baseball. Taken by photographer Charles Conlon and with his handwritten notes and stamp on the back, this is one of his best portraits ever taken. Crystal clear and capturing every wrinkle from two decades on the diamond, Alexander is old but still has lots in the tank! Photo grades a perfect 10/10!
