One of the most interesting personalities of her time, Theda Bara was the first woman to make huge demands to her studio and she got what she wanted. Labeled as a "Vamp" she refused to be seen in public without a veil, and was the first major silver screen sex symbol. The offered dark image is from one of her most famous roles as "Cleopatra" and this is an exceptional image re-struck in the early 1950's but with significant age to it, released by the International News and stamped on the back.
