December 7, 1941 photograph of the USS Arizona ablaze in the Hawaiian harbor after the sneak attack by the Japanese that would change the history of the world forever. At the time this photo was taken, the battleship was one of several on fire and smoldering. It would go down in history as the greatest tragedy of the event with hundreds of soldiers stuck inside where their bodies still remain to this day. This is a fine example and the only one of this particular image we have seen. It was issued in 1951 for the ten year anniversary of the event by the United Press and in nice shape overall.
