1958 Was the year that superstar Kansas Jayhawk Wilt Chamberlain gave a big "F-You" to the Basketball establishment. Having been told he must play another year for KU or sit out a year before joining the NBA, Wilt got the biggest payday in basketball history by signing a one year deal with Abe Saperstein and the Harlem Globetrotters. Pictured here are the two men who must have both been giving College basketball and the NBA several sleepless nights as Saperstein poses with his new prize. Photo is in nearly perfect condition and looks great. Although dated 1959 on the back, this was taken the year before and was issued throughout the season by the team but very few (only a handful) have survived!
