1947 Photograph of one of the most famous plays in the history of the World Series. Al Gionfriddo (a part time Dodger) robbed Joe DiMaggio of a Home Run and saving (for the time being) the World Series for the Dodgers. The play prompted "Joltin Joe" to show some emotion on the field for the first time in his career as he kicked dirt on his way back to the dugout. Photo is a rare original and gives a slightly different angle than is usually seen of this historic moment. Photo presents well with note to a pinhole on the upper right corner.
