1913 George Grantham Bain photograph of the star pitcher of the New York Female Giants which was the first attempt to make women's baseball a go in the United States. Wearing a really cool jersey and posing for the photographer, this young lady was no side show, but a legitimate attempt to form the first "league of their own" thirty years before WWII. Stamped on the back by Bain, this is an important piece of baseball history.
