1961 Posed photograph of the three New York Yankees outfielders before the start of another season. At the time this image was taken, these guys were coming off a rough World Series loss to the Pirates and were hoping for a bounce back season; what they got was the stuff of legend! Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris would produce the finest home run chase in baseball history and thrill fans with their exploits, creating a legendary season that is still talked about today. Here the pair is posed with left fielder Hector Lopez, each with their gloves and ready to chase down anything that comes their way. With some nice editorial markings from publication, this photo really pops and looks great. Dated on the back from the epic 1961 season and with a large newspaper photo as well, this is a killer image that presents beautifully!
