Absolutely incredible and historically important photograph of essentially the moment that the Nazi regime officially took power in Germany. The image shows a young Adolf Hitler bowing out of respect to Marshall Von Hindenburg at the Garrison Church in Potsdam. One of the most famous images of the era, this is the ONLY original example with full German stamps and paper caption on the back that we know of in the world that has come up for private sale. Hitler looks smug in his reverence while Hindenburg seems to show some disdain at the meeting. Of special note are the soldiers in the background giving the fascist salute that would become the symbol of Nazi hate. One of the most significant pieces of photography we have ever offered and one where the importance can not be overstated. There is a bit of wear on the far right side of the image but overall it is an acceptable specimen for the age and worthy of the finest collections of photography in the world!
