Dutch Schultz was one of the most famous and influential gangsters in American history and it made front page news when he was gunned down in 1935 at the Palace Chophouse in Newark, New Jersey while he ate. He was still at the top of his game, and had just asked himself to hit a top government official before he was shot. There a few famous images from this event, each equally important and rare. One shows the near lifeless body of Schultz slumped over his table and a few photos which show him clinging to life and pleading with doctors to save him! This stunning photograph from the International News shows the lifeless body of Schultz in the morgue with somber friends and family gathered around him. An incredible clear piece of gangster history in great shape.
