One of the most famous outlaws of all time, Clyde Barrow captivated the nation as he romantically traversed the southwest with his pretty girlfriend Bonnie Parker and committed murder and crime but all the while evading the law. A twisted Romeo and Juliet tale of the gangster era, their time in the spotlight was so short that vintage items of the duo are extremely rare. With this in mind, the offered early mugshot photo of Barrow from when he was a 17 year old petty criminal is exceedingly rare. Taken before he really was known throughout the nation as the other half of "Bonnie and Clyde" this was from when he was still "Clyde Barrow the murderer." This is only the second original image of Barrow's mugshot issued during his life we have ever seen in any form! Originally taken in 1926, this is a 1934 example with editorial markings from publication.
