Large 1930 aerial photograph of Admiral Richard Byrd as he arrived in New York City for a parade in his honor. He and his pilot Floyd Bennett had just become the first to fly over the North Pole and during the age of exploration, this was a huge victory! Condition is pretty nice with some wear at the corners and some cool artistic enhancements really help make this image pop! Issued by Wide World Photos and stamped on the back with a small paper caption from the newspaper as well.
