In one of the most infamous and unfortunate moments in baseball history, Mickey Owen the catcher of the Brooklyn Dodgers drops the third strike that would have ended the game and tied the World Series at two games each for the Dodgers. Instead, hit after hit ensued and the game ended in favor of the Yankees and they took a 3-1 lead in the series. While this is a 1950's re-strike, it is still one of the only original examples of this photo we have ever seen.
