Harry Heilmann was an average hitter until Ty Cobb got ahold of him and took him under his wing, even teaching him how to split his hand grip to have better control over the bat. He would respond by putting together one of the best careers in baseball history! Images of Heilmann are rare and there are only a handful known that illustrate how he held the bat with this being a fantastic example. A 1925 date stamp can be seen on the back and some editorial painting on the front really makes the image stand out!
