An interesting new discovery from the files of a New Orleans Newspaper, this is a cool photograph of Mickey Mantle and his buddy Billy Martin as the two are reunited after their playing days had just ended. While there is no caption to give context to the photo, the small caption refers to them as throwing a "beanball at Bouton" which was clearly a reference to the recently released tell-all book "Ball Four" that Jim Bouton wrote with several references to these players. A unique new discovery offered here for the first time ever, the photo is stamped on the back by the newspaper and the photographer M. Bates. Photo has a few spots of editorial tracing around Billy Martin's head but it looks great otherwise.
