1936 Double weight studio photograph used to promote the film serial "Flash Gordon" featuring Buster Crabbe. One of the first ever sci-fi films, this is a high grade image in great shape. It is impossible to tell with absolute certainty the age of the image but it is likely an original that was stamped in 1951 by the theatre to designate ownership or perhaps on a re-release of the serial (but the later is doubtful as these had gone out of fashion after WWII). One of the first images of this serial we have ever seen and in great shape.
