Jesse Barnes was one of the top pitchers in the National League for a time between 1920-22 and was part of three NL pennants (2 World Series) for the Giants. In 1927 when this picture was taken of him as a member of the Brooklyn Dodgers, he was nearing the end but still an important figure in the game. Taken by photographer Charles Conlon and stamped on the back, this is crystal clear and the only example of him in a Brooklyn uniform we have seen.
