Margaret Bourke White could be characterized as a pioneer and also one who was willing to change and move with the times. She started as a press photographer, shifted to industrial art scenes and then even went to the battlefronts of WWII to get the best shots. Here we see her in a rare pose wearing her uniform as a war correspondent dominated exclusively by men! While images of Bourke-White exist from her time after WWII, this is one of the only examples we have ever seen of her offered for sale that shows her in uniform. Condition and quality are both perfect and as such this is one of the finest images of this pioneer photographer that exists!
