1921 Silver gelatin double weight studio photograph of young University of Michigan student and up and coming professional fighter Let Philbin. An interesting photograph from the J. Nash Livingston studios of Toledo, Ohio, the photographer has intentionally played up the "student fighter" aspect of Philbin to promote him. He would start his professional career with a huge bang, going 26-0-1 from 1921-1925 before suffering an injury and losing for the first time. A perfect 10/10 that is the only image of this fighter we have ever seen!
