The 1963 Cleveland Browns were a team on the rise. Coach Blanton Collier had instilled a system that was working and Running Back Jim Brown was carrying the load. When this photo was taken, the Browns had yet again failed to reach the pinnacle of Football Success, but they wouldn't have to wait much longer as they would win the NFL Championship the next year behind the two men pictured in this photo, Blanton Collier and Jim Brown! The offered image is a nice looking photo of these two legends and it offers a rare glimpse into the player/coach relationship especially at a time when Racial Tensions were high in America. Condition is pretty nice overall with a small crease in Colliers hat that is flaked a bit and otherwise just some light handling wear. Rare image we have never seen before and reverse has a nice stamp from Photographer Tony Tomsic and also from the Cleveland Press and dated October 12, 1963. This is almost certainly a unique image!
