WWII Changed the way normal activities were enjoyed throughout the world and the game of golf was no exception. The men and women back home still wanted to play, but rubber was in short supply and could not be spared for new golf balls. What could be done? Rehabilitating old golf balls became a major industry and the game went on. Here we see seven ladies in Chicago painting over old balls to make them like new. Issued by Acme and stamped on the back with a full paper caption as well, the condition and quality are outstanding.
