Dramatic 1942 photograph of the boss of the New York Yankees, Ed Barrow, seen reflecting on the life of the recently deceased superstar of the team Lou Gehrig as he gazes on a bust made in his likeness. The statue was given to Barrow by Gehrig's widow Eleanor and it is mentioned on the paper caption that it would be heading to the Hall of Fame. An impressive and emotional piece of photography from the International News and stamped on the back with a full paper caption on the back.
