1921 Photo of Professional Baseball Umpire, Leo Clark. Clark was a WWI soldier and was wounded in action. He was captured, and during his time as a POW his leg was amputated. After returning to the States he got a prosthetic limb and started umpiring. In 1921 he got a job in the Blue Ridge League, which is likely how this photo came to be. Rare silver gelatin photograph in great shape. Wonderful pose and a truly interesting story as well.
