In one of the shortest tenures as champion, Eugene Criqui took the title in early June 1923 but contractually had to give Johnnie Dundee a shot within 60 days and lost his title! He was the champ for only 54 days, but still ranks as one of the best fighters of his era. Here is a rare early image of Eugene Criqui from 1922, a year before he became the Champion, issued by Kadel and Herbert and stamped on the back, this is a nice example with some light creasing from news-room use.
