Large 1944 photograph of a boat full of troops ready to land on Omaha Beach as part of the invasion on June 6 that would go down in history as "D-Day." Crystal clear and absolutely breathtaking, this photo is one we have never seen offered before but it rings as one of the most poignant we have handled. Stamped on the back from 1964 (20th anniversary) it is clearly off the original negative and presents like a work of art that could be hanging in a museum or gallery. The condition would be beautiful but it has a stray cut mark (small) on the top border.
