In early 1933 Albert Einstein made his third trip to California, this time with a bit of a diplomatic feel to it rather than purely scientific. He was still there to meet with scientists at Cal-Tech, but it is noted that he was helping to aid German-American relations during the early days of the Nazi regime. Less than a year later he would be in exile from the Germans himself! A rare image we have never seen before, issued by Acme and with a large paper caption on the back, the photo would be perfect but for a corner chip on the upper right.
