1925 Sweeping photograph of Hall of Famer Sam Rice as he drives the first pitched ball of the World Series to Glenn Wright the shortstop of the Pittsburgh Pirates. A really cool action photo with a neat twist that makes it a special piece of photographic and newspaper history, the image is backwards! Newspapers would do this from time to time for special requests when a paper wanted to engrave an image, it would be printed in reverse so artists could make a transfer and have it show up the right way as a drawing in the paper the next day. A unique rarity that is being offered here for the first time ever.
