Stunning c. 1948 portrait photograph of the man who changed baseball and really kicked the Civil Rights movement into overdrive, Jackie Robinson of the Brooklyn Dodgers. One of his finest early photographs we have ever handled, this has perfect clarity and it bears the stamp of well known photographer George Dorrill on the back. Despite a solitary crease on the left side, this is one of his better images we have ever handled and it presents far superior to it's technical grade. The photo comes pre-certified by PSA as well as a "Type 1" and comes with a full letter. Without a doubt, one of the top early portraits of Jackie we have handled.
