Large c. 1931 portrait photograph of the Hall of Fame owner of the Chicago White Sox Charles Comiskey from the last years of his life. Stamped on the back by photographer George Burke, this is a double weight image in fantastic condition overall, this is one of his most famous photographs ever taken and this is the first vintage example we have seen. We have included a photo illustrating that this was even used on the front of the White Sox programs in 1931!
