Ralph Kiner was one of the most dominant players of his era and after the 1949 season his skills translated to a HUGE raise. He made $30,000 in 1949 but after another year of being the biggest slugger in the game, he renegotiated for more than twice his previous salary entering the 1950 season and made $65,000! Kiners response to the huge deal was to pose for photographers kissing his new bigger contract. Issued by the International News and also with a full paper caption on the back it is also special as the photographer is credited (Dave Cicero). 54 Home runs in a season will set a guy up pretty well!
