Large original c. 1880 photo of game action between Harvard and Yale. This is one of the earliest field action scenes known to exist of ANY Baseball game. It is a huge and detailed Collotype photo in beautiful condition and this is a killer piece of baseball photographic history considering the age and size. You can see some tremendous detail in this photo about the way the game used to be played with the pitcher standing in the box and getting ready for an underhanded pitch. It is interesting that the umpire is standing behind home plate. Amazing item!
