1911 Absolutely stunning batting photograph of obscure third baseman from the Chicago Cubs Jim Doyle as he takes some hacks at the ballpark before his game. A good hitter, he batted .282 taking over for the deceased Harry Steinfeldt which makes you wonder why he never played again after the season ended. Taken by famed photographer Paul Thompson and stamped on the back, this is as good as pre-war photography gets!
