Gavvy Cravath has to be one of the most underrated players in baseball history. While his stats are largely overlooked because he played in the deadball era, he led the league in home runs SIX TIMES in a seven year stretch, finishing third the only year in between! He also led the league in RBI and all sorts of other statistical categories during his short career. Had Cravath played a little longer there is no doubt he would be in Cooperstown, but he is now a footnote to baseball history with a cult-like following. Issued by George Grantham Bain in the late 1910's, this is an absolute beauty as the photo is clean, crisp and detailed. Issued by photographer George Grantham Bain and stamped on the back, this is a nearly perfect example that nearly grades a 10/10!
