Unique 1910 photograph of Hall of Famer Ed Barrow from his stint as Manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs of the Eastern League. While Barrow is enshrined in Cooperstown and was around the game for over fifty years, he did it all as a manager and executive. In fact, there is no evidence that he ever played the game of baseball at any level. As such, there has never been an image of Barrow in a uniform or playing until now! The offered photograph captures the father of the Yankees dynasty in full uniform with the Maple Leafs and taking some hacks at the ballpark. The photo comes from Barrow's own estate and the handwritten identification on the back are in his hand! A unique piece of baseball history that we believe has never been offered before and one that is sure to excite the rookie collectors! Photo is original and bold with exceptionally clarity despite some scattered pinholes.
