One of the toughest Hall of Famers to find a quality photograph of is George Stacey Davis. His career spanned 19 years but he retired while Press Photography was in its absolute infancy and quickly drifted into obscurity. The offered photograph by George Grantham Bain (dated during Spring Training 1909 but taken the previous year) is one of only a handful of original George Davis photos we have ever seen! Condition is quite nice for the age and it has a nice Bain stamp on the back. This is one of only two original playing days photographs of Davis we have ever handled and those are also the only two we have ever seen in that time!
