1948 Photograph of Cuban and Negro League legend Hank Thompson in full uniform with the Havana team from about the time he broke into the big leagues as one of it's first black stars for the New York Giants! The ink notation on the back could very well be in the hand of Thompson which would be significant as he died in 1969 and his signature is quite valuable. A bold image with some creasing and handling wear that do not detract from the presentation.
