Incredible 1943 photograph of Hall of Famer Satchel Paige from the Kansas City Monarchs in full uniform as he is worked on by friend and superstar teammate Booker McDaniels. Paige was considered the best pitcher in baseball, but also its most durable as he is reported to pitch about 150 games a year at this time! One of the greatest images of Satchel Paige ever offered and one that we believe is unique in the world. Condition is outstanding and the photo is dated on the back with a small newspaper caption as well.
