1931 Real photo postcard of early Venezuelan baseball star Luis Aparicio Sr. as he poses with Francisco Quevedo as the two inspect some new lumber in uniform. Aparicio was 19 years old at the time and would spend the next forty years of his life devoted to the game of baseball. His name is better known today as the father of Hall of Famer Luis Aparicio Jr., but his talents and accomplishments deserve their own recognition as one of the top Venezuelan pioneers in baseball history. Trimmed down, the photo postcard also has some really cool handwritten notes on the back as well. Quite possibly unique and from the estate of Francisco Quevedo making the note on the back a signature as well!
