Incredible 1908 silver gelatin original photograph of the capacity crowd at Bennett Park before the start of the World Series against the Cubs. This was the last World Series the Cubs won before 2016 making it an important piece of baseball history with crystal clarity. Despite some wear and an obvious rip, this is a unique new discovery being offered here for the first time ever! There is a player visible at the far left, a young boy selling food in a basket (early vendor) and fans wearing their Sunday best. We particularly love the small "Tigers" pennants on her dresses and suits of the fans.
