Original 1938 photograph of Hall of Famer Lou Gehrig as he takes a big hack at Spring Training with the New York Yankees. A spectacular image that is one of the best of Gehrig we have ever seen from the era as he shows his strength during what would be his last season as a healthy player! Photo is a slightly later re-strike from the 1940's issued by Wide World Photos and stamped on the back (could be within 5 years but we will call it a vintage 2 to be safe).
